ELIGMA is an AI and blockchain-based platform that claims to unite every player within the commerce industry. One way it does so is by simplifying consumers’ shopping experience. Whether it be discovering new products or simply, purchasing, tracking and selling products, the said platform will rid consumers of the typical time spent on searching up products, while presenting one with the most suitable alternative possible.
This project has raised nearly USD$10 million during its public sale, as per CCN, and is currently in the works to launch two of its respective products including the Elipay and Elly.
As the name hints out, Elipay is a payment system that benefits both users and businesses. For instance, the former will be able to use cryptocurrencies to pay for goods, shop both online and offline and will have the opportunity to make some gains through a loyalty program in which users will be rewarded the ELI token.
Similarly, the latter will be able to implement crypto in their business, benefit from low transaction fees, have access to high-end markets and will have several point of sale options to choose from.
While Elipay is not a first mover, especially given that several blockchain-based payment solutions have since made an introduction within the crypto sphere, it is Elly that is more interesting to experiment with.
Elly is an AI chat box that has been designed to ease one’s shopping experience. It could be considered like Apple’s Siri, but with enhanced knowledge on product characteristics. Another thought-provoking facet that makes Elly somewhat superior, is its ability to recall a conversation given that consumers agree to save the conversation. It has also been proclaimed as coming in various formats, i.e. Desktop and mobile devices, and currently has the ability to recognize voices.
According to Elly, who is currently holds the title of “MVP”, one’s shopping experience can be simplified due to its ability to search up product categories that best fit one’s need in an instant matter. When testing it out for ourselves here at Bitcoin Exchange Guide, we realized the following:
- Its vocabulary list is limited, as we had to reply multiple times before Elly understood
- Its ability to provide more options in the given category was limited
- Had a sound understanding as to what types of questions to as in regard to the said product (i.e. cellular device)
Bear in mind, the limitations associated with Elly are reasonable considering the fact that it is still in its developing or “training” phase. While Elly was not able to provide inexpensive alternatives within Apple products, it was able to find a mobile phone that fit the selected descriptions.
Moving forward, the team at ELIGMA plans to include far more product categories, increase the AI chat box’s ability to recall information to the very finest of details, add improvements very often to make Elly the “smartest” and, eventually, enrich its ability to do research instantly.
